ReplyDeleteAs for US' political peculiarities, I notice that in the States a lot of culture shaping clashes are played out between "nobles" and extreme activists, without bigger involvement from the common folk. It must cause direction unappealing to the plebs in law and culture.
It is a daily struggle for me to control myself and not get a cat.
ReplyDeleteAs for politics, it does seem that only the extremes get represented, which is unfortunate. Being Conservative is wonderfuf, as is being Liberal, because, you know, moderation is a good thing all around, but if you're constantly on one side of the argument, no matter the issue, it's pretty silly either way.
